Weekly Sessions September 2009 - June 2010

This 10-month seminar, Introduction to Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, uses a combination of lecture, discussion, reading, video, and experiential exercises to assist participants in linking the work they do or are preparing to do with the core principles of the field of infant and early childhood mental health. 

 

The course has been designed in keeping with the document Revised Training Guidelines and Personnel Competencies for Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health (© California Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Training Guidelines Workgroup, 2009).  

 

Participants will gain 32 hours of credit in the category Parenting, Family Functioning and Parent-Child Relationships and 36 hours of credit in the category Risk and Resiliency towards endorsement as infant-family and early childhood mental health specialists in the California Competency system.
