Purpose of Training:
• To address the science behind obesity and provide a science-based foundation for understanding the complex issues of childhood obesity.
• To give attendees practical tools to implement at their work sites.

Presentations will place emphasis on cultural issues to acknowledge the diverse population of children and youth in the Bay Area. Obesity will be examined from a clinical and public health perspective. Exhibiters will showcase their work related to obesity, services and tools.

Teams must include at least 3 of the following:  Administrators, Parents, Early Childhood Teachers & Early Childhood Spec Ed Teachers from the SAME PROGRAM.


Inclusion Coaches will be assigned to each team (must attend all sessions)

Early healthcare experiences are common to children. 58% of hospital pediatric admissions are children under five years of age. A similar percent is true for accidents and injuries. The long-lasting, and sometimes life-altering, impact of these early experiences has yet to receive the attention it deserves.

Each bin contains a collection of 22 different materials you can get from a local variety store and a booklet with individual idea sheets to make adaptations.
Learn how you can help ALL children access activities, routines and curriculum with simple modifications.
