At FIRST 5 Santa Clara County the annual budget is shaped by the goals and objectives contained in the strategic plan and the financial direction of the 10-year Sustainability plan. Our Commission uses the Strategic Plan and the 10-year Sustainability plan as the framework for its review. The Commission reviews the annual budget every year during May as our fiscal timeline has a deadline to adopt the budget one month prior to the beginning of the next budgeting period.
